So, I know this bit of news is extremely late, but what the heck. Our first day at the Neighborgoods Market was extremely successful and we had so much fun chatting to everybody. There was a great response to our product and we loved it! Thanks to everybody that supported us and that bought some stuff. We will be at the market tomorrow (Saturday, 24 September) and we will have even more [colourful] bells and baskets (including a new kids bicycle size). Please come swing by and say hello. Hope to see you there!
Starling & Hero was recently featured on Inhabitat.com as part of the Innovation Summit 2011. The article can be found here. Thanks to Jan and Marike from Addictlab for their assistance with all matters related to the Innovation Summit.

So a couple of months ago, out of the blue, this guy contacts me and says he loves what we are doing and he wants to offer his graphic design services to us. So I check out their mini portfolio, website and blog and I really love their work. Over the next few months Karl and Ida assists us with various design related matters, but not even once did we shake hands. So a little while ago, I finally meet them in Cape Town and turns out they are even more awesome than their work. What a great design duo they are. Bursting with ideas and fun methods of executing these ideas, they always seem to be up to something new and exciting. Just have a look at their blog and you’ll see what we mean. They have done work for an array of clients, including Element, the SA Innovation Summit, BEN Bikes and Deep Dark Africa, to name but a few. For Starling & Hero, they designed a catalogue and gave the logo a bit of a tweak. They will also be assisting with our business cards (more on that soon). Please go check out their website and contact Karl or Ida if you have any design requirements. And pretty soon, K&i will be riding their S&H upcycles toward more interesting adventures.
